Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy helps you to come into better contact with yourself.
To understand, accept and thereby change.

Method

I work according to the person-centered approach of Carl Rogers (1902-1987), which assumes that every person has the potential for self-actualization and personal growth. For Rogers, three basic attitudes on the part of the psychotherapist are crucial for a person to be able to develop: unconditional appreciation, empathy and authenticity.

As a psychotherapist, I approach you with these attitudes in order to create a supportive and non-judgemental atmosphere. Together with you, I immerse myself in your world of experience, listen attentively and accompany you with understanding and empathy. This attitude should help you to better understand and accept yourself - an important step for personal growth and change, because “if I accept myself as I am, I can change” (Carl Rogers).

How I work

The psychotherapeutic conversation is at the heart of my work. It is about building a trusting relationship in which you can feel understood and accepted. I support you in recognizing, understanding and changing your own patterns and the reasons behind them. Depending on the topic and your interests, additional methods may also be used:

Focusing • Working with inner parts • System board • trauma-specific methods • Person-centered constellations - • Creative forms of expression • Working with dreams

I ensure the quality of my psychotherapeutic work through regular further training, supervision and intervision (collegial case discussions). I hereby continuously expand my specialist skills and areas of expertise.

Frequently asked questions

Transparent and clear conditions are important to me in order to create a trusting therapeutic relationship. Below you find important information about the initial consultation, the frequency and duration of the sessions, the costs and the rules on canceling appointments and confidentiality.

Initial consultation

I offer psychotherapy and couples therapy for people aged 16 and over. I am happy to recommend experienced colleagues for the psychotherapeutic support of children and adolescents under the age of 16.

To arrange an initial consultation you can contact me by phone or email If I do not have any free places at the moment, I will be happy to refer you to qualified colleagues or institutions weiter.

The initial consultation serves to get to know each other and to decide whether we would like to start a psychotherapeutic process. It lasts 60 to 70 minutes, during which you have enough time to share your concerns and background and discuss your goals for psychotherapy. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about psychotherapy and gain an insight into my working methods.

Frequency and duration

Psychotherapy sessions usually take place once a week. Weekly appointments are particularly recommended at the beginning of psychotherapy in order to get the process off to a good start and reduce the level of suffering. We can discuss a more frequent or less frequent frequency in person.

An individual session lasts 50 minutes and begins punctually at the agreed time. It is not possible to extend the session if you arrive late. Please arrive at the practice no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment to avoid interrupting ongoing sessions.

How long psychotherapy lasts depends on the intensity and duration of your problem, your goals and your motivation. For a short therapy process, 15 to 25 sessions may be sufficient to achieve noticeable improvements. In other cases, psychotherapeutic support over a period of years can be helpful. The decision to end psychotherapy is entirely up to you.

Costs

Initial consultation (60-70 minutes): 110,- Euro
Individual session (50 minutes): 110,- Euro
Self-experience (50 minutes): 110,- Euro
Supervision (50 minutes): 110,- Euro
Couples therapy (90 minutes): 220,- Euro

Sessions are paid for in cash, by bank transfer after each session or by bank transfer at the end of the month. You will receive the invoice with all the necessary information for submission to your health insurance company directly on site.

Health insurance companies

It is possible to apply for a cost contribution from your health insurance company if a disorder of pathological value (diagnosis according to ICD-10) exists. The amount of the subsidy varies depending on the health insurance company:

ÖGK:                33,70 Euro

Your own contribution is 76,30 Euros

KFA:                 36,-   Euro

Your own contribution is 74 Euros

SVS:                 45,-    Euro

Your own contribution is 65 Euros

BVAEB:           48,80 Euro.

Your own contribution is 61,20 Euros

If you would like to claim the cost subsidy from your health insurance company, you will need a doctor's confirmation for psychotherapy before the second therapy session. With this confirmation and a diagnosis made by me, you can receive the cost subsidy for 10 sessions when you submit the fee note to your health insurance company. Before the 11th session, I will prepare the necessary application for your health insurance company after consultation with you and also keep an eye on when a follow-up application is due. However, you are responsible for submitting the fee notes and the application to your health insurance company.

I do not offer fully-funded health insurance places. If you need fully funded or cheaper psychotherapy, there are some placesthat you can turn to. Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply for a health insurance subsidy for self-experience, supervision and couples therapy.

Cancellation policy

A therapy session is reserved exclusively for you. Please cancel any appointments that you are unable to keep as early as possible - but no later than 24 hours in advance. If you cancel later, I will have to charge you for the session, as I cannot reschedule the appointment at such short notice.

Confidentiality

Psychotherapy is always confidential and is subject to a strict, legally regulated duty of confidentiality. Neither information about personal data, the content of the conversations nor about the psychotherapy visit itself may be passed on. If clients expressly wish their data to be passed on, for example to insurance companies, it is necessary for them to release me as a psychotherapist from the duty of confidentiality (PthG § 15).
